I would like to invite you to the ISPE's 3rd ASIAN Meeting, co-hosted by the Korean Society for Pharmacoepidemiology and Risk Management (KoPERM), which will be held in Seoul, Korea on November 3-5, 2008. The meeting is named "ACPE (Asian Conference on Pharmacoepidemiolgy)
-KOREA 2008", and the main theme of the conference is "From Risk to Safety". This issue is both important and timely, since risk assessment, risk management and risk communication are at the center of public concern in Asian countries.
The ACPE-KOREA 2008 will offer a three day long distinctive program. On the first day an introduction to pharmacovigilance, a national medication safety system, and an introduction to risk management will be covered. The meeting will continue with the introduction of basic principles of Pharmacoepidemiology; study design & application, drug utilization review, vaccine safety, as well as more advanced topics in Pharmacoepdemiology during the following two days. The world's leading experts and prominent regional experts in Pharmacoepidemiology will join this event. We expect that this meeting will provide a platform for communication and discussion on issues facing scholars, industry employees, policy-makers, and consumers alike. I am most certain that every participant in this conference will not only benefit from the stimulating and fruitful intellectual exchange but will also enjoy the experience of meeting distinguished international scholars who share common goals and interests.
Besides these exciting scientific programs of the ACPE-KOREA 2008, we promise that you will relish the Korean traditional culture and energetic life. Feel comfortable and have an unforgettable time during your stay in Seoul!
We are very much looking forward to seeing you in Seoul in November 2008.
