Poster / Oral Presentation Session
Abstract Preparation and Submission Instructions

 

The Scientific Committee of the ACPE-Korea 2008 invites all interested individuals to submit abstracts to be considered for presentation. The presentation will be grouped according to the subject categories listed below;

[Abstract Submission Requirement]
ACPE-Korea 2008 has no restrictions on the topics of abstracts. However, abstracts may be accepted into one of two categories as below:

1. Oral presentation
The presenting author will be required to make a Powerpoint presentation that concisely summarizes the research question, the methods used, the results and their significance.

2. Poster presentation

The presenting author will be obliged to present the poster during the poster session to which it has been assigned.

The presenting author is required to choose one of the two categories, but the final decision can be made by the committee.

General Guideline
1. Abstracts must be submitted via koperm@koperm.org.
2. Deadline for abstract submission is September 12, 2008.
2. Abstract will be peer-reviewed by the abstract selection committee and will be sent
2. Notification of acceptance to corresponding author on September 26, 2008.
3. Submission of an abstract does not constitute registration for the congress. Presenters are
2. required to register for the congress essentially.
4. At least one author of each abstract must register at the meeting for the Oral or poster
2. presentation.
5. Abstracts selected by the committee will be published as a supplement in the proceeding
5.
book. Abstracts accepted for oral or poster presentation will be published as a supplement
5. and distributed to meeting participants on site.

Abstract Format
- Abstract Submission Form: MS word for Windows
- Font: Times New Roman only
- Size:10-point only except for title
- Content: Title, Authors, and Institutions should be in the middle.

1) Title
Title should appear in bold 12-point font size. Title should be brief and clearly indicate the nature of the presentation.

2) Authors

Full given names should precede the family name. Omit degrees (M.D., Ph.D.) and titles (Prof., Dr. etc.). If a co-author's affiliation is different from the presenting author's, please identify in superscript numerals. (Example: Gil-dong Hong1, Young-Hee Kim2)
For paper submissions, place an asterisk(*) after the name of the author presenting the paper.

3) Institution

On a separate line, type the name of institution, and country.

4) Body Text

Omit all names and geographical references in the body of the abstract. Leave an empty line before typing the body. Organize content as followsˇ¦

* Background
* Objectives: State the goals or reasons for performing the study
* Methods: Methods, materials and analytical procedures used
* Results: Summary of the results in sufficient detail to support conclusion
* Conclusions: Conclusions reached

Use Times New Roman 10 point, double space and justified.
The abstract limit is 2,400 characters including the title, author, and blank spaces
